How to use Remote Analyst
When you subscribe to Remote Analyst, you are instructed to select a logon ID
and password. Thereafter, you use this secured logon to access the Remote
Analyst website pages that correspond to your subscription.
Using Remote Analyst is simple. In fact, after initial set-up, it can be
automatic, if you specify an automatic schedule, which we highly recommend.
Here are the steps for automatic analysis:

Download & install the Remote Analyst data collection module on your
NonStop server. Note that you need not repeat this step again, unless there is
an update to the module.

Automate your data collection and upload using the Remote Analyst
Collector (Figure 1).

Specify the collection time period per day (e.g. from 6:00 to 18:00)

Specify which metrics to collect during that time period
-
Specify when you want to upload the collected data to the Remote Analyst Server
(one or more of the following choices: daily, weekly, monthly; all three if you
like)

Within minutes of upload, you'll receive an email indicating that your analysis
is complete, and you'll receive the reports you've ordered. In addition, this
email contains a link to the Remote Analyst website, where you can log-on and
view the results of your performance analysis, and data-mine for specific
intervals of interest. You may also ask for reports to be generated and
distributed on a regular basis (e.g. weekly, monthly, quarterly).
